'Cause I'm out on the club and I'm sipping that bub, and you're not gonna reach my telephone!
I just realized i had plenty of missed calls from Vifac over the past few weeks. I feel kind of guilty because they needed my help and wanted me to make a list of things that the government had given them to help the community center. Vifac received 400 items such as TV's, Home theaters, Ipods, cameras, mobiles, laptops, knives, videogames, etc.. from the government and Vifac has been selling these items for half the price they're worth and they get to keep the money to help themselves out. I'm still selling some of this items but i haven't been so lucky.
Once More, With Feeling.
This is kind of one of the last posts for this blog, but it is definitely not the last time i help at Vifac. Over the past few weeks I've been helping down at the garage sale, near Abastos. It is really a shocking experience because I've always been used to buying expensive clothes and stuff, but when I started going there I realized there were plenty of people who have to buy second-hand clothes or second-hand anything because they don't have the money to pay up for brand new things. This experience is kind of really important to me because now I see that not everybody has had the same opportunities and that when I'm complaining about not being able to buy a cd/dvd/videogame/clothes/you-name-it, there's people out there who don't have any money to even buy food. The prices are really different, I mean the regular price for a T-shirt is what $300? and there are t-shirts down at the garage sale being sold for only $20. Even though all of us are living in the same city, we don't realize or we don't see beyond our tiny little world that's made up by family and friends. We think the way we're living is the way everyone is living but that is completely false.

"Just know when the glass is empty, that the world is gonna bend"
Hey there! tomorrow I will be going to the garage sale to be isntructed on the pricing system, and stuff like that so be cheking soon for the new post about tomorrow's activities.
I can't help myself, I'm addicted to a life of material...
Since I'm finally going to start working on the garage sale, I figured there must be still something else for me to do. I will try to get used clothes, shoes, books, "used anything" for the sale. I know it will be kind of hard and time-consuming, but come on, this is me we're talking about.
I'll just have to skip classes...
I've come to decide to skip a couple of classe every now and then so I can give conferences about sexual abstinence. I wish there had been another way, but there were no conferences planned on the afternoon so I'm guessing that since i've already skipped some classes with no purpose whatsoever, it won't kill me to give conferences on the morning. I'll have to be prepared and have studied the presentation throughout the week after the holidays for when they call me saying they have an open spot for me.
Such a small world
On the 3-day weekend I left the city and visited some friends from Aguascalientes, who would have thought my friend is actually the head of the VIFAC community center at Aguascalientes? How queer is that? At first she told me her story about how she decided to help VIFAC. She told me that she had always wanted to have children, but unfortunately they just couldn't get pregnant, then they finally decided to adopt and they went through a long process under the control of VIFAC. Some time later VIFAC called her and told her that she "had a daughter" and they flew all the way to Mexico City to pick up the child. After some time, VIFAC asked her if she wanted to be a part of the center as a way to recompensate the adoption and she agreed. We chatted about the ways they were trying to obtain funds and even told me that the same barbecue we had in torreon a few days ago had been in Aguascalientes 2 years ago but unfortunately the people did not seem to like the cooking style so they've now started to sell Paella instead of the barbecue. She told me that it was good for me to be interested in being a part of the society and giving back something.
